Even though I had saved a multitude of screenshots from the day that this virus sequence was listed (in the GenBank under Viruses on the National Center For Biotechnology Information website), I hadn’t really spent a ton of time going through all the accession project branches for each protein and nucleotide listed. I mean, I didn’t really know what I should be looking for anyway, but I kept a screenshot folder just in case. In October 2021, while searching for articles on lymphatic system proteins and viral autoantibody immune responses, I stumbled on a February 6th 2018 US patent titled ‘US009884895B2’ Baric et al. METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR CHIMERIC CORONAVIRUS SPIKE PROTEINS by UNC Chapel Hill. The patent listed pages upon pages of GenBank accession Nos. Naturally, I went to that screenshot folder. The first recorded accession reference sequence MN908947, included an update stating verbatim “On Jan 17, 2020 this sequence version replaced NC 045512.1. Annotation was added using homology to SARSr-COV NC_004718.3.” Look, I’m an Artist, bodywork therapist and seer. I took a semester of interdisciplinary studies geared towards researching for investigative journalism and documentary film making. I'm no genetic science lingo code cracker, so what exactly am I looking at? I can however recognize patterns, like most. I’m just going to leave this here…Take a closer look at HKU3-SRBD-MAv and VEEV. Let me know what you find now that you possess the same information I do. Tag, you’re it.
